After an early breakfast, you head to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing in Volcanoes National Park. You trek through the bamboo forest on the slopes of the Virunga Volcanoes to track a gorilla family. After spending one hour with the gorillas, you return to the lodge for lunch. Later, you transfer to Kigali, Rwanda’s capital city. Dinner and overnight are in Kigali.
After breakfast, you enjoy a Kigali city tour, which may include a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local markets, and craft centers. This cultural experience offers insight into Rwanda’s history and resilience.
