Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Entebbe or Kampala Hotel

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you are met by your professional safari guide. After a short briefing, you are transferred to your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. The rest of the day is spent at leisure, allowing you to recover from your journey. Dinner and overnight are at the hotel.

Day 2: Transfer from Entebbe to Jinja – Source of the Nile

After breakfast, you depart for Jinja, traveling east through scenic countryside. On arrival, you visit the Source of the Nile, where the world’s longest river begins its journey north. You may also explore Jinja town or relax by the river. Dinner and overnight are in Jinja.

Day 3: Transfer from Jinja to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, you leave Jinja and drive north toward Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest protected area. Lunch is taken en route. In the afternoon, you visit the top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge and plunges powerfully below. Dinner and overnight are at your lodge.

Day 4: Game Drive and Boat Safari in Murchison Falls National Park

The day starts with an early morning game drive on the northern savannah plains, where you may spot elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and lions. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on the Nile to the base of the falls, offering close views of hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.

Day 5: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, you depart Murchison Falls and travel southwest toward Kibale Forest National Park, renowned for its primate diversity. The journey passes through changing landscapes, with lunch en route. You arrive near Kibale Forest in the late afternoon and check in at your lodge. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest and Bigodi Wetland Visit

Following an early breakfast, you head to Kibale Forest headquarters for a chimpanzee tracking experience. Guided by expert rangers, you track chimpanzees through the forest and observe their social interactions. After lunch, visit the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-based project rich in birdlife and smaller primates. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.

Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Day 8: Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Day 9: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, you travel south toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing through the Ishasha sector famous for tree-climbing lions. Lunch is taken en route. You arrive in Bwindi in the late afternoon and check in at your lodge. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.

Day 10: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

This day is dedicated to gorilla trekking. After an early breakfast, attend a briefing at the park headquarters before trekking into the forest with experienced guides. Once the gorillas are found, you spend one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.

Day 11: Transfer from Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, you leave Bwindi and drive to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Africa’s most beautiful lakes. The afternoon is spent relaxing, enjoying boat rides, or exploring the surrounding hills. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge by the lake.

Day 12: Transfer from Lake Bunyonyi to Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda

After breakfast, you cross the border into Rwanda and continue to Volcanoes National Park. The scenic drive showcases Rwanda’s rolling hills and lush landscapes. On arrival, check in at your lodge. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.

Day 13: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

After an early breakfast, you attend a gorilla trekking briefing at Volcanoes National Park headquarters. You trek into the bamboo forest on the slopes of the Virunga Volcanoes to track a gorilla family. After spending one hour with the gorillas, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.

Day 14: Transfer to Kigali and City Tour

After breakfast, you transfer to Kigali, Rwanda’s capital city. Upon arrival, enjoy a Kigali city tour, including visits to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local markets, and craft centers. Dinner and overnight are in Kigali.

Day 15: Departure from Kigali

After breakfast, you are transferred to Kigali International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of the 15 Days Uganda Rwanda Safari.
