Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Jinja

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you are warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and given a short briefing about the safari. You then drive east to Jinja, Uganda’s adventure capital and home to the source of the Nile River. The journey takes you through scenic countryside and bustling towns. Depending on arrival time, you may visit the Source of the Nile for a short excursion or relax at your lodge. Dinner and overnight are in Jinja.


Day 2: Transfer from Jinja to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, you depart Jinja and travel north toward Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest national park. The drive passes through rural landscapes and local communities, with lunch taken en route. On arrival, you visit the top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile forces its way through a narrow gorge before plunging dramatically below. You then proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight.


Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Safari in Murchison Falls National Park

The day begins with an early morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile, offering opportunities to spot elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and predators such as lions. After lunch at the lodge, you enjoy a boat safari on the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls. Along the riverbanks, you will see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a wide variety of bird species. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.


Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, you depart Murchison Falls National Park and travel southwest toward Kibale Forest National Park, renowned for its rich primate diversity. This is a long but scenic drive through changing landscapes from savannah to tropical forest, with lunch en route. You arrive in the Kibale area in the late afternoon and check in at your lodge. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.


Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Following an early breakfast, you head to Kibale Forest headquarters for a chimpanzee tracking briefing. Guided by experienced rangers, you trek through the forest in search of chimpanzees, observing their social interactions and behavior in the wild. After the trek and lunch, you depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, driving through the scenic crater lakes region. On arrival, you check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.


Day 6: Morning Game Drive, Boat Cruise and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

The day starts with an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you may see elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and possibly lions. Later in the day, you enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, famous for its high concentration of hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife. After the cruise and lunch, you transfer south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing through scenic countryside. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge near Bwindi.


Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Return to Entebbe

After an early breakfast, you proceed to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. Accompanied by expert guides and rangers, you trek into the forest to track a habituated gorilla family. Once found, you spend one unforgettable hour observing the gorillas in their natural habitat. After the trek and lunch, you begin the return journey to Entebbe, either by road or optional domestic flight. Overnight is in Entebbe.


Day 8: Return to Entebbe

After breakfast, you enjoy a relaxed morning depending on your flight schedule. You are then transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your onward departure, marking the end of your Uganda wildlife and primate safari.
